We purchased Killian in 2004 when he was a yearling. We had been
looking for some time for a colt that had the breeding to produce great
Halter Horses but still had the conformation that would enable his
progeny to go on as ridden horses. We didn't want too posty hocks &
we wanted a horse that was athletic, flat kneed & could cover the
ground. We were very lucky to find a colt that could move with such a
depth of Halter breeding.
His sire, Mr Yella Fella, needs no introduction, being the US No 1# Leading Sire of Halter Horses for the past 3 years & his dam Cowgirls Kid is by the illustrious Kid Clu whose sons & grandsons dominate the majority of other placings on the Leading Sires List.
Killian is a big boy of nearly 16hh. We had him broken in as a 2yo by a reining trainer Scott Sutton & he proved to be athletic if somewhat lazy! His foals so far have lovely heads, great necks, short backs & good legs. Everything we had hoped for plus they are intelligent & good to handle.

On the weekend of 12th April 2008 Toowoomba Royal Show held a AA
Quarter Horse Show & All Breeds Weanling Futurity. Two colts by
Killian & bred by Susan Ferguson of Gatton did very well -
QRQ Kid In Colour being sashed Champion & QRQ
Mindgames sashed 3rd in the All Breeds Weanling Futurity.
QRQ Kid in Colour went on to Champion Paint Colt or Stallion
& Champion Pinto Colt or Stallion & QRQ Mindgames was Reserve
Champion QH Colt or Stallion. A great start to Killians kid's show
career!
BREEDING INFO
It doesn't matter where you live if we can ship semen to you- you can
breed your mare to Killian. We do our best to keep costs at a minimum
to you & still provide excellent service. In the past two years we
have had virtually 100% success with chilled semen. We also do on farm
service should you wish to bring your mare to visit. We have excellent
safe facilities with top veterinary assistance.
